Cristo Rei,  Lisboa

Last year my cultural programme was  so intensive and time so limited that I completely missed out one of the most modern sightseeing – statue Cristo Rei. This year, I was determined to check it out. This statue resembles very much the one which is situated in Brasil, Rio de Janeiro.

You can see the statue from many points of the city, but the best view is when you walk along the river. Cristo Rei is located in the Almada area, it is possible to get there by train, ferry, or car.

There is a chance to go ‘upstairs’ of the statue and enjoy the view on the city. In my next post, I will show that very view.
