One of the most fascinating things for me was to take a ferry, actually several of them, which connected one island with the other. They were very frequent, and basically there was no need to wait for them long time. It definitely shows care to the people who live there because they can easily travel to the city if needed. Here is one of the ferries I took, looking cute, isn’t it? 🙂
On one of the islands, there was a dog, which was greeting travellers. So lovely! ❤
The next picture resembles me a scene from old American movies. I absolutely love vintage things, they have seen so much!
And the last picture for today – gorgeous evening, almost sunset! For those my readers, who live away from Finland, I should say that in summer the sun does not really go down, and at night it is a bit darker than on this picture. Seriously! Yes, it is difficult to get sleep, but I got used to it. 🙂

Rengastie is still on my list of things not done yet after living in Oulu in 2008/2009 and many many returns after that… Seems it requires some years for everyone to become true… Next time I am on the road I will ask you for advice if that is OK. This archipelago on the west coast seems to be very beautiful, and it is a small adventure to drive to a ferry and travel on it, we had quite near here one. You said nicely of old things, if they just could tell their stories. Your explanation of our light nights is good, I have difficulties to sleep at summertime, and I am born here. Thank you for this trip!

Beautiful photos. It must be odd to go to bed when the sun is still out. I think it would be harder to deal with the long dark nights and cold!

You are right! I just force myself to sleep. But in winter I am sleepy most of the time because at 16 00 it is already dark. We have a joke here: you go to work it is still dark and you come back it is already dark. 🙂
