This quick post is about the thing, without which spending time in dacha is impossible. I am talking about shashlyk. Shashlyk is meat (any kind:pork, beef, lamb or even chicken) smoked on the atfer-fire coals. Although the origin of this great meal is in Caucauses, shashlyk is widely spread and very beloved in entire Russia.
And popular in Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia and Slovenia where it’s called “ražnjič”, and in Italy where it’s called “spiedino”. In Italy they make them with sea food too. Ohh, in Greece I had them too… what was it? Souvlaki! Good to know what to have if I come to Russia – šašlik! 🙂

I like these too – but your photo has a culture rich feel with the iron grip and after coals – love the steam too – and even the grass below adds a vibe – mmmmm looks delicious
