Bone Church, Kutna Hora

Today, the post is devoted mainly to the most contradictory sightseeing of Czech Rebublic – Bone Church or The Sedlec Ossuary in a cosy town Kutna Hora. From outside, the church looks like many others in mid Europe, however, the interior is very special.. The history of the church dates back to the beginning of the 15th century. In the 16th century, the bones from the near-by cemetery were placed inside the church. There is no precise information on how many people were buried there, the estimation is 40 000 – 70 000.. These bones were organised in the decorative way.. I decided to post the interior picture in black and white, so it will be less shocking for my dear readers…
