Lapland

I live in the South-West of Finland, and I have never been to the northern part of the country until this midsummer. All I knew about Lapland was that:

  1. It is cold and snowy
  2. It is eternal darkness there in winters
  3. It is home of Finnish Santa (Joulupukki)
  4. Raindeers are walking around

But wait! What about summers then? I had a chance to check. 🙂

If it is always dark in winter, there must be light in summer. And it was! There was no sunset at all! 🙂    b2

The place looked like a fairy-tale. And yes, raindeers are everywhere even in summer! 🙂

Beside that, people were very friendly, kind, and helpful there. I will definitely come back again! 🙂
